I would like to recommend this book.

I am not an expert in this field, but work with young people professionally and wanted some extra tools for my toolbox! I have in the past tried to get information about Cognitive Behaviour Coaching and have a couple of very wordy and complicated publications - both untouched and unread.

This book is a breakthrough - clear, accessible and helpful. Real tips and straight forward advice in a format that is easy to refer back to. The good use of mind maps and images makes it very easy to share with the person you are working with.

It has a particularly helpful Table of Contents which has helped me focus on specific areas.

I have also used this book with my own teenagers and my colleagues at work (!) - very practical techniques and examples.

A very helpful book 12 Nov 2009
Format:Paperback
As a former management consultant, I wished I had had it to hand when I was in practice. It is very straightforward and comprehensive and makes an excellent reference text even for the most experienced. For the more general reader whether or not CBT and coaching are of professional interest it's a very accessible way to think about one's personal or professional situation.

This book demystifies Cognitive Behavioural Coaching in a comprehensive and straight forward way. It is essential reading for any one who is interested in developing both themselves and others. It offers many exercises and strategies to enable the reader to use the theories in practical and real life situations.
It is accesible to someone new to the topic, but it also adds a wealth of information for experienced practitioners.
With the current interest in coaching this book will become a valuable asset to both the professional coach and the lay person.
