This text has been written in such a manner as to make understanding the symtomology and treatment of GAD realtively straightforward, not necesarily easy but more or less straightforward.

The book is laid out in chapters which build to a complete and easy to understand model for GAD with a robust rationale for the treatment plan it recomends.

The chapters are clear, precise with excellent examples and models that you can use with clients, it provides plenty of easy to use handouts, provides plenty of exercies and homework examples as well as typical blocks to therapy and how to overcome them.

Whilst some may argue that this will provide an overly manualized approach to GAD therapy, it certainly provides a roadmap for it's treatment and leaves plenty of scope to develop an individualized formulation.

This book was a revelation to me as someone starting out as a CBT practitioner, and I'm sure will serve equally well people with more experience.
