For those familiar with the original Codename Panzers, this follow up is very similar. I think the AI or at least pathfinding has improved and you get a bit more variety in the missions and the night battles especially keep you under constant pressure. For those new to the game, it is an real-time strategy game with great graphics and sound, limited units and no boring resource gathering. It takes a bit of playing to work out that there is some strategy involved but it is more subtle than it looks initially. it is a real bargain for game that was released only a couple of months back to generally good reviews. Recommended.

Worth the wait 25 July 2005
Well it took a while to be released but here it is. Players of Panzer one will be familiar with the GUI. Have started with the Italians and like before there is a story line based around your heroes. Battle has changed with the enemy being a bit smarter than before. Have also just got into the first night battle where it counts whether or not you have yr headlights on. Spent way too long playing on the day i got it. If you liked the first then you like this - it has evolved a bit but not too much.

Great Fun! 21 Jun 2010
By Argo
Fun:
Whilst laughably unrealistic this game does at least have a great storyline (notably between the German and Italian commanders).

You also get the sense that you can at least change history and it's quite a poignant moment to take the surrender of the 8th Army at El Alamein!
