wow....... never underestimate a book by its cover..... a very good read about how a jewish boy took revenge for the atrocities the befell his family.... loved every chapter and wanted to see a second book on how Stefan's life continued after the close of this book... 5* plus from me ..... Thank you M M Rumsberg for entertaing me. Having lived in Berlin 77 to 89, it was interesting capturing in my mind areas of Berlin that the author used to tell the story..... many thanks also for that... Nick Angels Hancock

good story although felt it was being written by someone who learnt their history in the usa rather than in the real world

1.0 out of 5 stars There is better out there 30 July 2013
By Katie
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Main character was not believable. Seems like he was set to win the war all on his own as well as being able to make all the women he came across want him desperately! All this and only a teenager!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Very Good Read 4 Mar. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book while fictional gives a good introduction to the rise of Nazism in Germany and the increasing persecution of the Jews.
I found the narrative to be both entertaining and filled with suspense.
A very good read and one I would be happy to recommend.
Maybe for some this book fell short of expectations but for me it merits reading.

3.0 out of 5 stars rubbish book 1 July 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
having said its rubbish, I must explain, the story is the most stupid I've ever read.
it couldn't happen. main character is paper thin, and no way were his actions possible.
he would have been caught and shot on day one. But I read it to the end and enjoyed it
must be getting old.

4.0 out of 5 stars Snake 28 Nov. 2012
By GEB
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Gives a telling insight into life in Europe for the Jewish community during the rise of the Nazi's. Develops into an excellent storyline although the end could have been stronger and appears to be have been rushed. Recommended read.

4.0 out of 5 stars good WW2 story 26 Jun. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Unusual angle, good fast moving if slightly implausible story line. I liked the way the story took us from life in Berlin in the thirties through to Italian interment escape and subsequent vengeance.

An entertaining though improbable yarn. Would have been a good moral booster if it had been available in 1940 (but not with the atrocities). A German joining the SAS ???. Read more
