Product Description

The year is now 2018. With Zero dead and the remnants of the Black Knights being swept up by the Britannian forces, a forced state of peace settles over Area 11. The rights of the Elevens remain limited but with no one to lead them and the defeat during the Black Rebellion hanging over them, the Japanese people remain under the boot of Britannian Empire with no hope to overcome this oppression.

But forces are moving in the shadows and nothing is quite what it seems are the hopes and dreams of the Black Knights crushed or were the battles up until now a prelude for greater things yet to come?

A new chapter begins 13 July 2010
After the stunning cliff hanger of Code Geass's first season, audiences were left waiting for the continuation of the series and if my reactions are any indication, they weren't disappointed.

The story picks up a year later, the Black Knights have been defeated and scattered, their leader Zero reported dead and yet Lelouch is still alive with no memory of his true identity, both as Zero and as an exiled Brittanian prince. However, nothing can keep a guy as determined as Lelouch down and he soon reclaims his mantle as leader of the Black Knights and continues his rebellion against the Brittanian Empire, once more bringing him into conflict with his best friend Suzaku, who is now a nobleman and elite knight of the empire.

R2 continues the action sequences, engaging storylines, plot twists and snappy dialogue that made the first half of the series such a smash hit and introduces new characters in addition to bringing back old characters that appeared in the first series. The voice cast is as well selected as ever and Johnny Yong Bosch continues to make an outstanding Lelouch Lamperouge, perfectly conveying the character's complex thoughts and motivations.

This is a great DVD set and since it's a continuation of the first two box sets, it doesn't waste time in explaining the history of the series. If you liked the first half of Code Geass, this is definitely worth watching but if you're new to the series, you really need to watch the first two volumes otherwise you are not going to have a clue what's going on.

by not telling any spoilers, it is hard to describe this product.
i got my hand on this series from other places, and i got the japnese version, which is laterly translated into english version. this is a story that you can watch again and again, the excitement and surprises never seems be able to fufill my hunger. almost every moment is a work of brilliance, a true masterpiece which cant be skiped if u are interested in anime.
just really how far could fate go to twist someones life?
i dont usually make a review, but this one deserves it.

Absolutely brilliant 28 April 2012

Season 1 was a total blast. I sat glued to the screen and my heart was beating harder after almost every episode.
Season 2 is not very different.

* In the beginning you may find yourself somewhat confused as to what is actually going on. HOWEVER, this is explained very soon, and the pieces start falling in place. I think season 2 was a little less fast paced in the beginning than the rest of the series. But the tempo very soon picks up, and you will soon be completely engulfed in this thrilling adventure!

* This is a series that is completely unpredictable I think. That was very positive in my opinion. You never know what is going to happen next, and you never have any idea how everything is going to end. This series never stops surprising you, from start to finish.

* This series was engaging from start to finish. I both laughed, smiled and weeped, as I found myself deeply engulfed in the story.

* The wide range of characters is further enlarged in season 2. Allows for many individual sub-stories of sorts.

* In the end all the pieces came together. Everything fit in.

* The ending was absolutely awsome.
