How much sacrifice should anyone have to give?

Petal and Gabriel are forced to decide, as the mad, digital entity, Elliot Robertson, is determined to dominate the world. His influence, spread by an insurgent group, The Ronin, seeks to control and enslave the last of humanity.

With time running out, Petal and Gabriel must travel to the far reaches of the abandoned lands in order to repair a server they believe will be the key to defeating Elliot and his ronin. All the while, Petal has a ticking time bomb inside her head: Gerry Cardle’s uploaded consciousness. The code of which is mutating, but to what end?

Together with their few allies, Petal and Gabriel must face either victory or total annihilation.

The gripping finale to an exhilarating trilogy (well, four titles if you include the prequel novella, Apex Cypher), this is dark, desperate and violent. With Gerry willingly trapped inside the cyberspace beyond the mainframes battling his nemesis Elliott, it's up to Petal, Sasha, Gabe and the others to bring the fight to the besieged Dome, where Ronin under Elliott's control are slowly taking over.

We see different sides to our characters here, as events force them to use talents they didn't think they had, to explore feelings they didn't know they possessed, and to be willing to risk their all to save their fellow humans from the relentless tide of malevolent forces; previously The Family, then the Red Widows, and now the Ronin. The nascent government is less secure and cohesive than was thought, though. Betrayal stirs, and the fate of humans rests with our plucky band.

Thank you for many enjoyable nights reading these great books, it always amazes me that the best books are written with such detail of the characters personalities that you can't put it down until theirs a natural break between chapters. This story had had me up All night many times. I am sad to have finished them. No doubt I will read them again. I look forward to more thanks again.

WOW. so much happening all the way through, more interesting new characters introduced. These books should be turned into a film. Well done Colin Barnes you're a breath of fresh air. Not for the faint hearted though! Each book got better! I'm on the look out for your next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars All three techxorist books 8 Feb 2014

An incredible compilation of our current level of computer technology, belief in the destruction of our species, and survival of a few based on new and evolving use of all sorts of technology, and our integration with AI. If our future looks like this, then better to survive as the strong, or die as our multitudes. Mr Barnes has spelled out what happens to each group quite well. More, give me more Mr Barnes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant conclusion(?) to the Techxorcist Series! 20 Jan 2014
By Jennifer D Bender - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Annihilation Point combines a good, solid, dystopian sci-fi rollick with an insightful and seemingly effortless peek into the inner-workings of human and social consciousness. These intelligent layers of theme based in morality, loyalty, guilt, regret, love, and sacrifice, are so transparently wrought into the fiber of the story that I often found myself reacting, both physically and emotionally, to an otherwise straight forward plot line. You know it’s a good book when you have to put it down for a moment to get your heart rate under control! With a healthy dose of both joy and tragedy, an often poetic and sometimes startling style of writing, and head-spinning plot twists, Colin F Barnes will keep you engaged in Book 3 of the Techxorcist series from start to finish. (If you have not already read Books 1 & 2 in this series you will definitely want to start there... they will be WELL worth your time.) Having just finished the series, I am already feeling a sense of withdrawal for these thoroughly developed characters and for Barnes words in my head. Luckily the author appears to have left open the possibility for a future addition or two to this excellent “trilogy”!

I am so impressed by this writer now after reading all 3 books in the Techxorcist series. Every aspect of this guy's writing is just phenomenal. I really hope that he has got a good supply of material for me to read because I certainly can't stop with just these.
