I mostly bought this item to use on my hands - my knuckles get very dry, sometimes to the point of bleeding. Strong hand creams do work, but I wanted to use something entirely natural that wouldn't pollute either my body or the environment. After a week solid of putting Coconoil on my hands before going to bed and when getting up, I now find that my hands are beautifully soft with no dry skin in sight at all. It didn't work well the first few days, but perseverance is a huge key.
I also tried this on my hair - warming a small amount in my hands, putting it on my dry hair then doing a normal wash. It leaves it gorgeously soft, the past couple of washes I've only used shampoo and no conditioner - it's that good! Only problem is that it is very oily and takes a lot of thorough washing to get it all out, otherwise your hair looks greasy after.
Third and final use I've found for this is cooking - it does leave a bit of a coconutty taste when used in frying, but it seems to give it a real rich taste, not sure why!
Overall a wonderful and natural product suited for many uses, can easily replace about 5 different bottles of manufactured stuff around both bathroom and kitchen. :)
