5.0 out of 5 stars Typically English Zombie Fest!! 27 Oct 2012
By Miss R. S. Chapman TOP 1000 REVIEWER
Format:Blu-ray
Cockneys vs zombies.
The story of a group of cockney bank robbers fighting their way out of a zombie infested London, slightly obvious from the title...

First Impressions:
Within the first few minutes of the film, my eyes couldn't believe what they were seeing.
Thankfully the part I am referring to is the only extremely gory scene. Phew.

Positives:
A great cast including;
Honor Blackman,
Richard Briars and
Alan Ford.

Thoroughly enjoyable.
Lots of action, lots of guns and LOTS of swearing.

If you like Shaun of the dead, then, in my opinion, you will LOVE this!!

Moments that will make you laugh. All of them unexpected.
Many one liners of enjoyable English comedy.
The soundtrack is brilliant!

Negatives:
In my opinion it could have been longer as it is only an hour and twenty eight minutes long.

Conclusion:
Well worth the time and money spent,
A great British film, full of fun and legendary actors!

Highly recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable but will not appeal to all 20 Oct 2012
By Stoofa
Format:Blu-ray
I was lucky enough to see this film during it's very limited cinema release. There are some great moments in the film and I'm sure you'll be laughing out a fair few times.
You do need to simply "suspend your brain" while the film is on. There is no deep meaning, no hidden messages. It's silly and that's exactly what they were aiming for.
It hasn't got the brilliance of either Shaun of the Dead or Lock, Stock however as a mash-up it works and you will find it fun.
As for the 2-star review further down. Your decision if to take it seriously or not, the middle section where it looks like a 10 year old has decided to write a fart joke followed by an "only joking" makes me want to ignore that one.

Absolutely awful movie, I felt embarrassed for the top name actors that appear in this film, not one to put at the top of their CVs. Read more

Ok, the tagline of Shaun of the dead meets lock stock is bang-on. I won't spoil the story here, but I can't stress enough how much I enjoyed this movie. Read more

A great fun, slightly cheesy horror comedy with a cockney twang. Brilliant cast, funny script. Loved it so much I bought 3 extra copies for friends as gifts. They all loved it too.

I choose this because of the Comedic Potential and I wasn't disappointed. This was as good as any Hollywood job and on a lot lower budget! This will become a Cult Classic. Read more
