I bought this clock because the size given was 18.7" and as my husband is visually impaired I thought this would be ideal for him. However, the 18.7" actually is the size from the top of the cockerel to the bottom of the bell chain; the clock itself is about 6" in diameter only. I have no complaint with the quality and appearance of the clock; merely the fact that the description needs more explanation.

Made from very lightweight metal this clock and thermometer disappoints as soon as you lift it from the box; there is no substance to it.
We bought it for friends. Now, every time we visit and see it on their summer house, we are reminded of the inferior quality of the product. The thermometer has never worked and the clock needs adjusting regularly. The faces of the clock and thermometer are actually made from paper, in damp weather they buckle. It is just six months old and the casing is starting to rust. Avoid.
