This album is all about huge riffs and loud vocals with a catchy melody, which combined, make this one of the greatest hard rock albums to come out of the 1980's and one of the most underrated to boot.
I truly believe that there is not 1 bad song on this album - NOT ONE!!
Tracii Guns, the guitarist, formed this band after leaving Guns n' Roses thinking gnr had no chance of success and, you know, I really think that this album is on a par with Appetite for Destruction. They just sound different.
Being released in 1989, when grunge was starting to take its hold of the world and new hard rock band Skid Row were topping the charts, people would have dismissed this as "just another hair band." Their loss!
If I had to recommend one song worth buying the album alone for, it must be Ballad of Jayne. This ballad is easily up there with Guns n' Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine" and Motley Crue's "All I need".
Buy this if you call yourself a rock fan!!!
