The Cobra end 7400 performance radar/laser detector provides 360 degree detection of laser signals, warns drivers of emergency vehicles and road hazards from systems equipped with Safety Alert transmitters, Alerts users when they are under surveillance of VG-2 Radar detector-detectors, and provides complete immunity to VG-2 and Spectre radar dectector-dectors. The ESD 7400 comes with an Ultra Bright Data display which provides easy recognition of band detected by use of band identification icons. The City/ Highway selector allow the user to select operating mode, reducing the frequency of falsing in densely populated urban areas. Additionally, the Auto Mute feature automatically mutes the alert tone for enhanced driver convenience. This unit detects 4 radar signals, 4 laser signals, and the safety alert system. It comes in RoHS lead free, eco-friendly packaging.

Just got this, it picks up traffic lights, automatic doors on supermarkets but not my local mobile speed camera. Drove past it 3 times now and not even a beep - and yes the camera seems to be on as I was able to see monitors in the back of the van which clearly showed traffic moving by on screen. Steer clear, maybe try a more expensive model! Off on the motorway next weekend (9 Dec 2011), if it works I'll update my comment

It worked just fine the VG2 spectre was a must have on this trip 3800 miles there and back no speeding violations.....I must have detected 20-30 tags all with plenty of warning, best 38.00 dollars I have ever spent.

This product is all that it is described to be. Good all-round detector, nice size, good windshield mount. Although not a pricey high-end detector, it works really well and has most desireable features. A great value for the money.

Works how it is advertised

What everyone giving it 1 star reviews doesn't understand is that it only detects cops if their radar gun is on. Some will turn it off, hide behind something and just look to see if you're speeding. That is a situation where you can't do much about it. This product works well and has saved me from many tickets but don't let it lull you into a false sense of security; always be vigilant.
