This is by no means a game of the year contender, unless awards can still be given out for five or so years ago. This game certainly doesn't look like it should have been released when it did, with the visuals appearing dated by today's standards. However, if you are able to see past the graphics then a fun, if at times infuriating, little title awaits.

This is mission driving so expect high speed chases, races, surveillence and checkpoint hunting all among oncoming traffic. The game is based on a German television programme, and the dubbing into English is horrific as well as humourous. There are no weapons in the game and never can you get out of the vehicle, making Crash Time very similar to the original two Driver games. The missions get gradually more difficult as the game goes on, and there are three difficulties to choose from, the hardest difficulty level forcing your driving to be near perfect to beat the time limits. This is where the infuriation comes from as you may see your target but not quite make it before the timer runs out.

This is generally a fun game but for a few small faults. The radar on screen is helpful but not always easy to follow as there is nothing to distinguish the vertical axis, which can become frustrating when you can see a road coming up but can't take it as you are on an overpass. Another visual problem is when other cars go through tunnels as they do not use lights, making darker coloured vehicles invisible until you crash into them.

Overall Crash Time is fun for a budget title, although the lack of "on-foot" action may not make it to everyone's taste.

Don't buy this game to expect a Burnout contender, however I love the sensation of speed in this game. Some racers cough*Gran Turismo*cough make you feel as if you are travelling slowly even when going 200mph. In this game you could be doing 70 and still feel as if you're in a rocket car. The single player is laughable, but the splitscreen multiplayer is massive fun. I only wish you had all the tracks and cars to start off with. Pick it up cheap and have a laugh!

great game, nevermind budget game, this is a top game, yeah it might not seem big budget but the gameplahy element is great, its fun entertaining and the price just makes it even better.personally i think forza is the worst game out there, not just racing but worst game full stop and this handles way better than that,if anyone likes fun games driving games mission based games or just wants a fun game then buy this

well first of all i have to say that i have a truly huge collection of games and all the consoles on the market and got this on the strength of the previous 2 reviews and also the price and recieved it with baited breath but that was as far as the possitives went i was truly dissapointed both dated pc style graphics that would barely have held up 5 years ago and game play that makes the driving sections on the original gta games look like perfection this is a game to be deeply avoided i love my racers but this is barely even that it is awful the controls are sketchy and twitchy at best and although you may get ten minutes of game play out of this it will ware on you so fast you will be wishing you hadnt bought it before you know it so anyone out there please take it from someone who unlike the previous reviewers actually knows what he is on about and leave this on the shelf it is pathetic and barely worth a 50p bargain basement price .
