If you are visually impaired, please, please try this before you buy it. My registered blind friend has just bought one of these and to be honest, it is nothing but frustrating. My friend is very technology savvy and extremely good at working things out. He has listened to the talking instructions ( if you don't have a CD player, they can be downloaded from the website). The instructions are confusing, requiring several calls to Cobalt, where different people gave different answers to the questions asked.
My friend has owned talking microwaves for years with no problems, but has always been frustrated by not being able to use a conventional oven and grill, so this seemed like a perfect solution.
First let me say, that despite being called a combination oven, and technically it is, it would be better described as a glorified microwave. There is no full width oven shelf, just a turn table and a round grill rack, the size of a dinner plate, so don't think about roasting a tray of potatoes, cooking a family size lasagne or baking a sheet of cookies, unless you want to go out and purchase something of a size you could put the tray on.
As for what is wrong with this oven, I am struggling to know where to start.

The outside walls and top of the oven get extremely hot, so you have a huge volcanic cube sitting on your worktop that you could burn yourself on. You also need to be sure that no plastic utensils etc are near to it.

The buttons have the most illogical layout you could possibly imagine. The first three rows of two from the top run in curved lines ( for anyone totally blind, imagine a torso, the first two buttons at the top are on the tips of the shoulders, the second set down are on the rib cage and the third set down are on the waist).

Could do with a visual display and outer shell could be better build quality. as my partner has full sight she finds having no visual display frustrating.
