Just perfect - everything you need for a great weekend away - all in one book!

I am so pleased with this excellent book - it is packed full of great weekend ideas, beautiful pictures and practical advice. I particularly like the shore spotter's guides, which mean I won't need to take a reference book out on family walks for those 'let's look it up' moments! With two teenagers in the house I can use the book to convince them that it will be fun to leave the laptops behind and enjoy a family day out. I've now ordered further copies to give to the rest of my family - so birthday presents for 2011 all sorted ....

I have found this book to be a real joy to pick up and flick through. I have read "Coast Magazine" and like the fresh style in which it is presented, but this book has certainly exceeded my expectations and really is packed with interest.
When I ordered this I had imagined it would be a sort of Atlas with things to see at specific locations - but this is not a run of the mill book. There is an index of counties if you wish to use the book in the style of an atlas, but it made up of types of things to see and do and where glowing examples of such activities can be found - all around the UK. Even some of the places I am quite familiar with have been given a new twist, and I look forward to revisiting some old haunts with a new perspective.
Coast 250 Weekends by the Sea also features a number of "Spotters Guides" among its' pages as a handy reference during days out. It really is a well packed, enjoyable little book - quite quirky in places, and I smile every time I pick it up, wondering what I will find next.

This book is a great find for travelling around our wonderful country. It is full of information and ideal to keep in the car as a reference book as well as on planned breaks.
