Product Description

Synopsis

Club Culture is certainly the perimeter at which the creation of desires and the need for satisfaction exists: a generation laboratory, fractional on the edges, uncertain in content and resistant to the approval of the "adult" world. It is one of the few oases for the creative outbreak of artistic and cultural material in comparing to the devouring fire of the Single and Global Market.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Critical Review of the Clubculture, 19 April 2001
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Clubspotting (Paperback)
This book is a visual testament which helps you to define the interzone among a "social space", the electronic music and the hedonistic attitude. A review of some of the most innovative artists of the electronic European scene such as Howie B, Grooverider, Nitin Sawhney and so on, lead you into the land of a visual generation. The book's aim is also the one to de-territorialize the culture of the club, seen far away from the usual and known routes of Ibiza, London or New York. From the point of view of the authors, the electronic music - as well as any other kind of artistic expressions related to the clubculture - represent an off-centre body with thousands of peripheries. A single and unique evidence of a very Italian elegant touch.
