3.0 out of 5 stars Final instalment 2 Aug 2007
Format:Audio CD
Once again we have another instalment of Clublands compilations, i really thought they would stop at 10, this rehashes old songs and places that all to familiar euro synth sound all over it the mixing is bland and nothing really stands out but me being a 45 yr old I have gone from 77 disco to this updated Discofied sound. I like this as much as Clubland 1 and I wont really criticise it too much but you can't really compare this to classic salsoul and philadelphia disco which bears familiar trademarks to this sound strings synths syndrums yes 77 was a excellent time for Disco and im so glad that music like this is played out but please pay homage to the original listeners of people my age who started this all back then, my generation was at the forefront and leading Club music along this was 30 years ago, we still have a sound now which I still like to call Disco. Long live Disco

3.0 out of 5 stars To be honest... 20 Jun 2007
By Charlie
Format:Audio CD
I have to admitt to being slightly disapointed with this CD- as a DJ, and a self confessed dance-junkie, (and owning the previous 1 - 10 Clubland CD's), I felt slightly let down with this one.

The only two tracks that really stand out on the CD are the obligatory dance / pop song which opens CD 1 (the original version of 'A Neverending Dream' by Cascada) and the headlining song on CD2, a Remix of 'Umberella' by Rhianna.

The rest of the tracks, if im honest, seem to act as 'fillers' and there is nothing particularly striking about it...

If you want a great summer dance CD, youre much better off with 'Dancemix Summer Anthems'

i brought it after feeling let down by this- and i assure you- ALL the 60 tracks have been well chosen, and make it essential for any dance fan- unlike this, which i have to say seems like it was released as a stop gap between clubland 10, and the (apparantly much anticipated) Clubland 12.
