Product Description

Based on the international best selling book by Bafta award winning writer Geoff Thompson, Clubbed is a journey through family and fear set in the violent world of 1980's clubland.

Danny - a lonely factory worker, intimidated by life - is battered and humiliated in front of his kids in a random act of violence. His already bleak existence sinks further into the abyss.

On the verge of total breakdown he decides to fight back. He meets a group of nightclub doormen who take him in and give him the confidence to stand his ground. As he is drawn deeper into their world he becomes embroiled with the local gang boss, setting in motion a train of events with shockingly brutal consequences.

Format:DVD
I couldnt disagree more to the last reviewer, I bought the dvd after seeing an ad on MTV. I really enjoyed this film and I am very proud to have it in my dvd collection. I felt the film was moving and inspiring. The music is fab and the film really captures the era. I look forward to watching clubbed for many years to come.

Genuinely Surprised 31 May 2009
Format:DVD
This is probably not the sort of movie that I would normally buy, but having been recommended by a freind, I must say that I found it totally compelling, very believable, and very entertaining. I wasn't surprised to learn that the movie is based on a true story as it has that gritty feel and genuine emotion that only comes from true life experiences. It reminds me of some of the black and white movies of the sixties in that respect. A refreshing change from the insipid stream of "big name" movies that are the norm these days. The soundtrack and the "Making of" documentary are also excellent. I recommend it to anyone looking for a British movie with a totally believable storyline, real characters and real emotion.

This film is awesome!!!! 24 April 2009
By M1llion
Format:Blu-ray
I saw this in cinemas recently, it is awesome. The film delivers on so many levels. It has a deep message of controlling your fears and achieving your goals. The usual brit gangster film followers should be happy with the amount of violence but this film is so much more than that. Great acting, lol moments and even had me choked at one point.

A true gem of a movie.

Good period action/drama
The strength of this film is the characters. Clearly defined, yet by no means one dimensional.
Witty script, good attention to period detail, strong soundtrack and a plot... Read more

Brilliant film from Goeff Thompson
I thoroughly enjoyed this film. Well written and acted with a twist at the end I didn't expect. No wonder it won a BAFTA for Geoff.
