This is probably not the sort of movie that I would normally buy, but having been recommended by a freind, I must say that I found it totally compelling, very believable, and very entertaining. I wasn't surprised to learn that the movie is based on a true story as it has that gritty feel and genuine emotion that only comes from true life experiences. It reminds me of some of the black and white movies of the sixties in that respect. A refreshing change from the insipid stream of "big name" movies that are the norm these days. The soundtrack and the "Making of" documentary are also excellent. I recommend it to anyone looking for a British movie with a totally believable storyline, real characters and real emotion.
