Album Description

Second instalment in the Peveril hotel series, this time the album is limited to 1500 copies only worldwide. Six.by seven ceased to exist as a band on D-day 6th June 2005 (The band has since decided to reform and make another full studio album later this year).

These are the last recordings the band made. These songs are a mixture of live studio recordings, demos and finished masters. These recordings were never intended to be presented like this but here they are.

This album sees the band heading for a much harder sound. Fast forward and go!

Six by Seven is mining fertile territory. This record sounds like a long lost old friend on first listen, and brings to mind Primal Scream, Jesus and Mary Chain, Loop, the Stone Roses, Spacemen 3, Spiritualized and Spectrum. This record stands head to toe with the very best of the aforementioned bands. Six by Seven has their own sonic sound and they've had some great singles in the past, namely "IOU Love" and "Anyway"; but nothing they've done prepared me for what this record holds. It's a beautiful revelation.
