This is a very funny witch-filled romp, featuring Clover, Mrs Eckles and the return of Mrs Eckles's wicked revenge-driven witch sister, Mesmeranza.

This is a very funny book about a little girl called Clover Twig, who works for a witch, and her friend Wilf who is an ever hungry delivery boy. The cast of characters is very imaginative and includes a flying horse called Booboo, Miss fly - the cat lover who works for the witch's jealous sister and Old Barry - the troll who guards the bridge. I particulary enjoyed the witch's attempt to use a high technology crystal ball that she had borrowed.
I have read several of Kaye Umansky's books and this is among the best.
