Picked this book up at around 10pm with a view to just whipping through a few of the short stories and ended up having to drag myself away from it hours later. I must have read every Clough book going, but this one is just so different in it's approach to the subject. It's not one person dictating their view to you but a rapid succession of short stories and anecdotes that just kind of help you to build up your own picture. The man was a true genius. This book seems to get behind the scenes better than anything I've seen before. Some made me laugh out load and some had me on the verge of tears. Brilliant. Superb ending . . . if you are one of those people who reads the last page . . . DON'T!!!!

I absolutely loved the last book from this author on the same subject(150 BC), and didn't think it was possible to not only match one of the most enjoyable things i've read in years but to actually improve on it....this book is brilliantly written and extremely hard to put down...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've read most Cloughie books and thought 150 BC was by far the best read BUT Clough Confidential is on par if not better! It truly sums up the legend that is Brian Clough and one we will never see again! These stories either had me in fits of laughter or in tears, the only downside being I didn't want the book to end! Behind that brash exterior is a man with a heart of gold and I could read this book over and over again. Definately top of the list for a worthy Christmas present.
