This is a lovely product. The only negnative would be the the projection is quite poor. You really need to have it resting on top of a book case ect. It says in the instructions that it should be 5-6 feet away from ceiling but for the best placement it's more like 3 feet. The kids adore looking at the stars but miss out on the enjoyment of playing with the "ladybird" due to it being so high up.
Overall it's a lovely item and teaches the children about stars ect.

What a fab product. Very easy to use and does exactly what it says on the tin. I had bought my wife a star projector for Christmas which cost almost £100. We sent it back after the first very disappointing use because the image projected was fuzzy and not at all like being in a planetarium, total rip off.
So we thought we'd try this one to give our bedroom a nice night-time glow and peaceful star shapes on the ceiling, and that's exactly what we got, it's brilliant.
You are apparently able to spot real constellations in the projected stars, but I haven't worked them out yet.
Only down side is that you need to put it pretty much in the middle of the room if you want to avoid a big bright blue patch of light shining off one wall if you put it on a table or drawer next to the wall, but that is obviously the same problem that you'd get with any other product.
If you're considering this for a child, I recon it would make a great gift, its pretty robust and the soft ladybird underbelly is quite cute.
Gentlemen - buy this as a gift for the lady in your life, she'll adore it!
