A simple story, but yet one full of intricate details, turns and twists. Well worth reading with children. The beautiful illustrations support the plot as it develops.

This is a wonderful and enchanting tale set in a tea plantation by the Himalayas. The illustrations are absolutely breathtaking (with both black and white and colour illustrations) and the characters captivating. I was transported into another world and I am sure you will be too. Definitely worth buying!

this a wonderful tradtional type of folktale, but written in modern times... of a young girl who must find a way to bring money into the house and take of her mother who falls ill.. Set in India, up in the mountains... this lovely book is supported by stunning illustrations... it is a little old for my five year old- but I think it will become a favorite in years to come!
