15 of 16 people found the following review helpful By K. McCorry on 19 Jan. 2010
Format: Paperback
John Rhoton's book on cloud computing is an excellent read for someone looking to understand the implications of moving away from traditional computing models to cloud-based models. This book focuses on the big picture, suitable for CTOs, CIOs, Solution Architects or indeed anyone wishing to understand the rationale and basis for cloud computing model.

If you are a decision-maker and cloud computing is on your radar screen this book is indispensable. If you just want to know a little more about cloud computing, then this is an excellent resource as well.

Overall, this is a great read putting cloud computing into meaningful, business-like context, both for those who know very little abut cloud computingand for those who think they know a lot.

4 of 5 people found the following review helpful By Mr. Hussein H. Badakhchani on 10 Jan. 2011
Format: Paperback
The book covers all relevant topics for readers wishing to gain a good understanding of cloud concepts and implementation considerations. I found the content was well organised making the book very easy to read and to refer to. The reader will also find a host of useful external references which should greatly reduce the time spent searching the Web for further information.

This is a must for Sales and Executives wanting to get on top of the "Cloud Hype" without getting deep into the technology. It is an easy read with no nonsense, thus quick to get through.
You dont need to have any prior knowledge and this will bring you up to speed quickly. If you do have a good understanding of technology, then this book will not offer any indepth revelations, but does offer clarity.

It provides an awesome insight to cloud computing. I started reading it as a beginner and have gained massive insight on the world of cloud.

maybe a bit techi for me. Didn't understand all they were talking about, but that is probably my lack of knowledge on the subject.
