Book Description

Belonging to the Harper clan offers the best of the best: social position, money, and a future with countless possibilities. As the younger of the two Harper brothers, Matt can enjoy his life of luxury and privileges to the fullest. After all, Ryan is the one who will inherit the family business. Matt doesn’t mind it in the slightest. His rebellious nature makes it an easy choice to step aside and let Ryan take the spotlight. His beloved older brother can have it all, as far as Matt is concerned.

The only thing that makes Matt envy his brother is Megan’s love.

Megan has always known she wanted to be with Ryan, ever since their school days. She is happy to be in a stable relationship with the most desired bachelor in town. Any day now, he might finally take the final step to solidify their future together. Becoming a member of the Harper family is everything she has ever wanted. Matt is a part of her life, too. His easy smile and mischievous nature make it difficult to keep him in the proper, brother-like category. As hard as she tries, it’s impossible to silence her stubborn heart.

Could it be that behind Matt’s scandalous and “bad boy” attitude, something else is hiding, waiting to be discovered? Torn between the brothers, Megan is afraid to find out what it might be. Could Matt ever see her as something other than his brother’s girlfriend? Does he feel the same almost magnetic pull that makes it impossible for her to avoid him altogether?

Only time will tell…

Have you ever read a novel where nothing happens? Want to read another one? Then I suggest reading Close Your Eyes. I gave up before half way as I seriously was Closing my eyes, in sleep, yawning.
I don't know how a brother yearning after his siblings girlfriend is ever going to work out and I don't know if it did in this book, because I didn't finish this story.
Sorry author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pleasant and fun read 13 Sept. 2012

I really liked this book. It is my first novel by Ellen Wolf and definitely not the last.

The plot is simple but interesting: two brothers and one girl, a love triangle as old as the world itself.

The Harper brothers are young and powerful. They share a close bond, especially since their parents had split long time ago. They live with their father and the rest of the family in their impressive, ancestral home. Their mom is unfortunately out of the picture (mostly). The older brother Ryan is responsible and serious, just the way his grandfather likes it. Matt, on the other hand, is wild and hard to tame. He says whatever he wants and doesn't care much for what the whole world thinks. I have to admit I liked him right away, especially his sense of humor.

Both men love the same girl - Megan. She and Ryan are a couple, their relationship stretching over many years. Matt has been around all this time too, quietly envying his older brother and pretending not to care. He might have tons of girlfriends and enjoy his single status, but secretly he worships Megan.

Things get pretty twisted from here, finally giving Matt a chance to fight for the love of his life.
Without being a spoiler, let's say it all ends well and everybody can remain friends:)

Overall I truly enjoyed it and decided to give it five stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Close Your Eyes was almost a 5 Rating 23 Sept. 2012

I just finished reading Close Your Eyes last night. Almost gave it a rating of 5 stars but I rated it at 4 because I wished that Megan had a little more spunk and more open confrontation when it came to people (as Ryan and Matt's step father) talking down about others.
Would really like to find a book that had someone in it that was not afraid to openly state their opinion and stand up for those that wouldn't.

4.0 out of 5 stars This Fraternal Love Triangle Burns With Passion And Envy ! 27 Sept. 2012
By Mary Peterson - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
I agree that perhaps this wasn't perfect in every possible way, but actually I really enjoyed it because for me it made a lovely light, romantic holiday read, which was definitely worth the time.

It sort of reminded me about another erotic romance series I loved recently which was The Seahorse And The Hawk (SOUL MATES) which also features quirky British characters, and was a real find and became one of my top favourite holiday reads.

Anyway, 'Close Your Eyes' was a good fun romantic romp: The best thing about this story was the characters I think.
Also it really does keep you wondering how it's all going to end, which is very cool.
No doubt, This Fraternal Love Triangle Burns With Passion And Envy :)

2.0 out of 5 stars Good basis for a story, poorly written and drawn out 25 Sept. 2012
By AmyJ - Published on

I felt that this story line was a good one, however, the writing was drawn out and quite lengthy and boring to read at times. Only because I wanted to find out who she ended up with did I finish the story.

Lots of pages of her debating what to do, what people with think, how her family has money but they don't stack up to "old money", etc.
