One exceedingly beautiful, sexy, rapturous, consoling aria after another, culminating in a duet and then trio. Three baroque prima donnas Invernizzi, Fernandez and Basso deliver such beautiful vocal artistry that I cannot conceive of it being done better. Bonizzoni and his group La Risonanza are superb instrumentalists. Recorded in a warm and detailed acoustic space... truly superlative and memorable!

This edition series is simply fabulous: the orchestra, the pieces chosen, the direction but, specially, the fantastic sound of Romina Basso. I first bought "Olinto Pastore" and it was love at the first sound. Of course one can argue what baroque should sound but, for me, it should sound vivid, energetic, dramatic, expressive and not some "romantic" reading of the scores like many conducters do, turning pices into boring endless notes. The mentioned titles have the same singers and they match they characters, expressing their moods in a way that we can almost see them. This is for sure an historic collection.

A stunning disc indeed. The cantata "Clori, Tirsi e Fileno" (HWV 96) is one of the youthful Handel's compositions from his Italian stay, and displays his artistry at its best. Beautifully delivered by the trio of Roberta Invernizzi, Yetzabel Arias Fernandez (sopranos) and Romina Basso (alto), it doesn't get better than this. Seventy-five minutes of bliss, makes me want to collect all seven of the series.
