This series must be read in order. The first book is Clone Three. The second book is Clone Two. This is the third and final book in this series.

Almost out of time Trio and Duet rush to the Statue Of Liberty to fulfil their purpose without having an inkling of what that is. Stung by betrayals and unclear who, if anyone, to trust they rely mainly on each other. Will the nature and specifics of their mission be reveled at the statue? Will they ever find Clone One? Will they even make it to what used to be New York?

***This series is suitable for mature young adult through adult readers who like a little horror in their postapocalyptic scifi action adventures :)

Well what a book! I was not expecting where this book took me. The twists and turns and the four legged friends captured my heart. Now where is book 2?

HASH(0x9db6b45c) out of 5 stars Did not see that coming 10 April 2013

I won a copy from the author and will be writing an honest review. Trio has found her sister, Duet and as happy as the reunion is suppose to be, something isn't right. She has found her sister damaged in some ways and because of the power her sister holds, she's going to have to make the trip without her friends. But who does she trust? What new obstacles will she face when she heads for answers? This story was fantastic!!! It held me till the very end and caught me completely off guard but was stunning none the less. Ms. Larsen did a fantastic job writing this story and never faultered on impressing me with this one. Thank you Ms. Larsen for such a great read.

HASH(0x9db6b4b0) out of 5 stars Too many questions for sci-fi readers 7 Jun. 2014
By Pavarti - Published on Amazon.com

See my review of Book 1 under that title.

I purchased the Omnibus of the Clone Chronicles and didn't stop between CLone 2 and Clone 1 so this review might be a little convoluted and spoilery. But the reason is because I could not stop reading! I loved Trio so much and all the secondary characters. Clone 2 was full of action and the introduction of Duet was brilliant. She's the perfect addition to the group dynamic, she highlights both the danger and purity of spirit that exists in the clones. I think Clone 2 was actually my favorite because we start to get some hints and larger revelations. The Teks were a super cool premise, however I was frustrated because I still don't understand what purpose their adaptation/mutation serves in the ultimate plot line. Especially because it's not utilized by the crawlers.

Clone 1 was unfortunately kind of a let down. The action maintained and I loved the character resolutions as they were satisfying, emotional and authentic. But the science just wasn't there. For instance <spoiler>why did Solo's crawlers have flaws? What did Brock have all the feral and bright qualities but none of Trio's group did after transformation. Trio said she made them "perfect" but how? Especially since that's what Brock said Solo did for him, so shouldn't they have been the same? What was the adaptation given to Trio's group, or was there none and they were just bigger and better? And why couldn't Solo do what Trio did? What was the imperfection she was incapable of fixing? And why could Trio do it. I was really confused. Plus the idea that someone can just metaphysically reach into another person's DNA and rewrite it didn't resonate with me and there wasn't any science to back up what she did or how she did it.</spoiler>

On the plus side though, the deaths/rebirths and role of DOG were fabulous and I really enjoyed the series as a casual reader, but thinking about it too hard makes my head hurt with questions.

HASH(0x9e519888) out of 5 stars Clone One, an EPIC Finale! 10 Nov. 2012
By Voracious Reviews - Published on Amazon.com

A seriously amazing finale to a great YA sci-fi/post-apocalyptic/dystopian series! I have grown attached to Trio and Duet, clone sisters meant to save the shattered world somehow. A world that has been ravaged with disease and the subsequent mutations of those who have survived. This follows the sisters right after the events of book 2 as they finally arrive at their destination with their group of loyal and not so loyal `friends'-New York City.

But what they find there is not what they thought they would discover. Their sister, Clone One-also known as Solo, is not the person they thought they were looking for. Hell bent on manipulating the world, Solo will stop at nothing to complete her plans to change the destiny of humans forever. Trio and Duet face the ultimate sacrifice for the ones they love when the choice to keep them all alive or save the world becomes apparent. A near impossible choice.

Wow, I was thoroughly surprised by the twist of events. Nothing like what I expected. I was actually left stunned at the end, still wanting more of these epic characters and story. I didn't want it to end. Especially didn't expect that ending! Definitely a gut wrenching read! The post-apocalyptic world is stunning in the descriptions and floats off the page easily with fluid storytelling. I enjoyed this series, it was fast paced (which I love!), highly imaginative, had a sci-fi fantasy flavors (hard to find YA), and was horrific enough to make me cringe at times.

Fantastic series that must be read back to back, leaving you breathless! It's that good!
HASH(0x9e5ab8e8) out of 5 stars Not what I was hoping for 15 Aug. 2015

4.5 Stars

I'm not sure why others did not take to this series, but all in all, my overall rating is 4.5 stars. It would be a 5, but for how it ended. I'll miss Trio. If she was successful in making sure that her mission succeeded, we'll never see her again.

In this final book, we will learn what Trio's mission is and like the other two books, not without a lot of loss. At the end of book 2, Trio and Duet are on their own. All of her friends are concerned that Duet is a loose cannon, which leads Trio to break away from them and head off alone with her sister. She needs her, and the lack of trust on her friends' part tears her apart. Not sure if she did the right thing, she none the less feels compelled to move forward with going to New York. Still unsure as to what she'll find or what she'll need to do once there, that pull is strong, but not without hazards along the way. This one is truly sad.

First, after losing her friends, she and Duet come across a band of children, all around Poppy's age. Unable to walk away, they'll fight to help the kids only to lose a lot of them. The amount of violence and death in a world gone mad is heart-rending. And all because of someone who isn't altogether there. Second, when she does learn more about her history and what she has forgotten, she'll lose Beckett, in more ways than one. And third, she'll eventually lose everyone else she cares for. I'll admit, the twists, although not always surprising, were interesting. Poppy and Beckett's connections to her past for one. I saw one, but definitely not the other. The traitor in their midst, and the constant betrayals. The sacrifices. Again, she just couldn't catch a break, and just when she does think she is making headway, the hits just keep coming.

I do have to say that I couldn't put this down, but it was also depressing as hell. I rooted, and rooted, and rooted for Trio and gang to beat the odds, but damn, the ending was not what I was expecting or wanting. Guess I was hoping for an alternate universe to what actually happened. We get a somewhat happy ending, but not for the group I'd come to like and care for. If you're like me, then this may leave you wanting more. However, I would still recommend the series if you're a fan of sci-fi/dystopian books.
HASH(0x9db6b978) out of 5 stars I don't want to say goodbye!!! 7 Jun. 2015

I received this book for an honest review.
Trio (clone 3) and Duet (clone 2) have finally made it to NYC with the help of their friends they've overcome many obstacles along the way. Will they finally find Clone 1? Will she have the answers to their questions so they can complete their task? Or is there more going on then they know and will they have to face their biggest test yet...
The final book in the series and it does not disappoint. The hardest review to write as I don't want to give any spoilers, this book was the most action packed and also the most heart wrenching. To finally get the answers to all the questions was both cathartic and devastating. Filled with twists I didn't see coming my one complaint is that this is the end. I wanted more and if by chance there is ever another book for these characters I would download it in half a heartbeat! This is not a standalone book and the series must be read in order, it is available as a complete set but fair warning you won't be able to put it down and may find yourself reading all three books in a day like I did!
