Product Description

As children begin to explore the world on foot, parents can find it difficult to balance their child's freedom with the peace of mind that they are always close by. Whilst you want your youngster to be able to walk around and develop their new found skill, there's always a worry when busy roads and other hazards are close by. Our Wrist Link strikes that important balance for you, and is designed for toddlers and young children who can already walk. The wrist band is easily adjustable, as is the length of the connecting rein which incorporates a shock absorber, which allows the connecting rein to stretch slightly should your child fall or pull away sharply.

Bought this item to replace the traditional harness and reins for my 2 yr old. Felt that she needed a little bit more freedom than the reins were allowing. She quite willingly puts it on and actually ends up holding my hand more with it on than without it! It's a good item, just about the right length. Great service too, it was here within a couple of days. The adult end is a velcro strap but the child end is a plastic fixing, the same as those found on bag straps etc.

My daughter was really being naughty walking, I had tried everything I could think of, at a last resort I switched her old reins for this and miraculously it has worked! She now walks beside me and even wants to hold my hand now! I no longer dread taking her out for a walk!

Very pleased with this product. I have a very active SEN 4 year old and it seems to be working a treat even as a toddler training aid. Have to be strict but it's the very thing.

I had terrible trouble getting my son to hold my hand whilst out walking. He just used to plop onto the ground and wail, refusing to walk. To my wifes surprise this little purchase worked a treat. For reasons unknown he immediately held my hand whilst attached with the lanyard. I've no idea what the effect was but I was more than pleased with it. Give it a try.

My Grandson loved this as he could 'take mummy for a walk' but he soon learned how to escape from it when he was fed up with that game! So if you have an escapoligist for a toddler I would recommend a harness type of restraint.

I like this because it does not have velcro like many similar products, so I feel it is much safer to use. Lovely and colourful making it easier to find in my crowded bag and small enough not to take up too much room.

The overall quality of the item was ok but the size of the wrist loop at the adult end is far too big and it's not possible to adjust it.

Great little strap when out with my three year old in busy places like London. The rainbow colours are nice, but importantly people see it, so don't just try to walk across you if you are walking apart a little (as we did around Legoland for example). Adjusts his end so it stays on, just a shame the adult's end doesn't, but I tend to wrap it around my wrist and hold it as well. I also hold his hand whilst using the strap. Ultimately, I wouldn't let go of his hand, but youngsters can wriggle free as my Mum sadly witnessed when a friend's child was run over by a lorry, so this provides extra back up. However, I think the most important thing you can do is actually teach your child - from even before they are walking - about road safety.
