The design of the product is fairly good. Before you buy these make sure any knob you plan to use them on can be removed! so that just a little stem is showing...as you put these OVER the stem...and then put the knob back on (so...the order from the appliance goes stem/product/knob. The knob then is inside a small plastic bubble. You can open the plastic bubble by means of a small clip on the bubble which is fairly child proof...though I would think by 2 years old they will figure it out. The problem with the product is 1) it makes it a bit of pain to turn the knob yourself...as you have to open via the clip...and 2) our 15 month old occasionally pulls off the the knob and product...so you have to go and put the thing back on. We use these fairly successfully on our oven, washing machine, and drying machine...and they are better than anything else I could find...so worth a try at this price if you think they might work. If they don't work.. .they are probably a fairly fun toy for your child anyway!

Gas safety 11 Mar 2011
By CazGabi
This product was purchased after an incident where my young dog obviously put her paws on the front of the oven and accidentally turned on one of the gas rings - I was out shopping at the time, so you can appreciate my feelings when I opened my front door to the smell of gas. It took some time to work out what had happend - when I did, I started to search the internet for items relating to child safety I bought two sets of this product to ensure that the knobs on my gas stove were protected from accidental use. I found this product - amazing........

It took my 20 month old daughter approximately 15 seconds to figure these out and pull the whole knob and cover off. Don't waste your money.

Not perfect, but better than the opposition
Not perfect, but not as fiddly and perhaps a little more durable than the equivalent from Emmay (which I tried last time). Read more

Oven and stove knob guards
The covers were too big for my stove. I needed them to stop my dog jumping up and turning the gas on. They fitted the knobs but could not be fitted side by side.

Does not fit my gaz cooker knobs
As the title says the guards don't fit my cooker as the pins for the knobs are too wide. But would fit my electric cooker when I finally have it installed. Read more

Seems good at first... then worse than useless
They do what it says on the packet. They clip on, they work right up to the point where you actually have to use your stove. Read more
