Clippasafe Classic Fireguard Extension to Extend your Clippasafe classic Fireguard an additional 30cm. If your fireplace or hearth is wider than 140cm you can increase the width of the Classic Fireguard to 172cm with one extension and 213cm with two extensions. Each extension is fitted between the standard fireguard panels with additional nuts and bolts (supplied). Fireguards 140-172cm = 1 x Clippasafe Classic Fireguard Extension Fireguards 172-213cm = 2 x Clippasafe Classic Fireguard Extension *please note this item is an extension for the clippasafe classic fireguard and not the clippasafe classic fireguard itself

Amazon Verified Purchase
We ordered the extension at the same time as the fireguard and were bitterly disappointed that the two did not fit together. The attachment brackets were nowhere near each other and could not be moved. We had to improvise a system by removing the clips destined for the top of the fireguard and using them to attach the extension. We would advise anyone making this purchase to buy the fireguard and then send away for the extension the manufacturer advertises on a form included in the box.

I HAD TO RETURN THIS EXTENSION & FIREGUARAD. THE FIREGUARD ITSELF IS OK BIT FLIMSY, THE EXTENSION DO NOT FIT WHEN I SENT A EMAIL SHOWING HOW THE ATTACHMENT ON EXTENSION DON'T LINE THROUGH WITH THE ATTACHMENT ON THE FIREGUARD THEY SENT ME ANOTHER ONE, SAME PROBLEM. HAD TO SEND IT BACK ALSO, ALOT OF INCONVIENCE.
I BOUGHT FIREGUARD FROM MOTHERCARE, EXCELLENT PRODUCT
MUCH STRONGER & EXTENSION FITS PREFECT.

Had read the other reviews but despite the negative views decided to order the fireguard and 2 extension pieces and am so pleased i did. Fitted perfectly together and would definitely recommend.
