Made from soft neoprene rubber, the Clippasafe Shampoo Eye Shield will fit all head sizes and will prevent the shampoo from running down into the eyes and onto a child’s face, which can cause distress or discomfort. The shield is simply placed over the head, then pulled down to the forehead and top of the neck at the back, ensuring that as much hair as possible is above the visor and that it is a snug fit above and to the side of the eyes. The shampoo visor can be easily washed and dried ready for next time. The Clippasafe Shampoo Eye Shield is small enough to take when swimming to wash hair afterwards. The distraction of washing hair in the strange environment of a swimming pool changing room can help to break a child's habit of making a fuss during hair washing.

Excellent for babies - but how long will it last?,

My husband is a bit nervous when it comes to bath-times for our son and this helps to give him loads more confidence and he really enjoys the time now without worrying about getting products in or baby's eyes. However he's nearly 9 months now (the baby, not my husband)and doesn't have a particularly big head and it leaves a mark around the top of his his forehead after use. I'm not sure how much longer I'll contunue use of it as it does seem quite tight. This may be a slightly different product and bigger but the picture certainly looks the same.

small and not great for ears,

I was very surprised at just how small this was -- it was a battle to try and get it onto my daughter's head and she pulled it off immediately. I didn't get the chance to use it in the bath but while it might have helped keep water out of my daughter's eyes, it didn't look like it was going to shield her ears much at all. I'm returning this and for the time being have solved the hair-washing problem by using a sponge to wet and rinse my daughter's hair. It might be more time consuming but it's got rid of the screams and tantrums.

Pretty good - better than nothing!,

I purchased both this product as well as this one at the same time from Amazon: Shampoo Rinse Cup My son was very fussy the first time he had to wear it when I tried using it, however the next day my wife tried but giving my son some toys to play with to distract him and ever since he has been quite happy to wear it. Another reviewer has mentioned it not fitting on her child's head - and this made me nervous to purchase the product as my family has large heads - but the size is just fine for my 20-month old son's above average sized head. The jug wasn't much use in comparison, I couldn't manage to get my son to accept it. The whole time while shampooing is fine with this cap, and he is busy playing with his animals etc., but his eyes still get a bit wet as we pour the water over his head to rinse it - so it's not perfect. But it's still a lot better than nothing.
