Wonderfully readable, 11 Feb 2001

This review is from: Clinical Problem Solving in Dentistry (Paperback)
This is an utterly fantastic book. It is a series of clinical cases (A patient with tooth ache/A swollen face/A worn dentition/A sudden collapse etc), each about 3-4 pages long and written by a relevant clinician.
For each, history, presenting features, differential diagnosis, possible investigations and management are gone through. All relevant photos and xrays are provided and heavy use is made of tables and lists.
The small chunks are very readable and somehow, without even noticing, you end up learning stuff. Its one of those books you can dip in and out of.
I lent my principle my copy and haven't seen it since. Seriously thinking about ordering another.

I am a final year dental student who found this book to be exactly what was needed for clinical vivas. It provides a good insight into the thinking of experienced practitioners when adressing common clinical problems.
