Review

Recommended in Times Higher Education, February 2010

There is no doubt that this book would have been a great help during my revision and I would strongly recommend it. It is certainly the best question book Ive used, it not only prepares you for the exam but it also prepares you for the wards. Thomas Kelley, Academic Foundation Year 1 Doctor, Oxford University Clinical Academic Graduate School

Really useful 5 Jun 2010
By Tufty
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book not only asks questions relevant to both finals exams and actual medical practice, but it tells you how hard they are, explains the answer including all the stems, and provides links to guidelines and further reading. Most of the questions are SBAs, but some EMQs are included for good measure. It even comes with a plastic backing and the accompanying new book smell. There are of course a couple of errors in the answers, but these are pretty obvious. Overall, very good indeed.

An excellent addition to the Oxford Handbook Family.

This little pocketbook is one of the best MCQ books that I have ssen on the market, small, compact, fits in the pocket, just like all the oxford handbooks, and packed with information.

It is split into the same areas as the OHCM, and has MCQ's and EMQs for each section. It contains detailed explanations which make it useful as a revision guide as well as cross referencing back to the OHCM should you wish to read more.

An excellent book, that I would highly recommend to medical students and junior doctors alike.

Excellent for Finals 23 Jan 2010
Format:Paperback
This book provides excellent revision for finals. Is one of the legendary Oxford Handbooks which means you can carry around with you and test yourself as you go. The book has good explanation of the answers for which question as well. I strongly recommend this for anyone doing their clinical years.
