Product Description

Product Description

The changes in the format of the fellowship examinations have culminated in the introduction of the MRCS and AFRCS examinations to replace the former FRCS. This is a structured question-and-answer aid for candidates preparing for these exams and it concentrates on the commonly-encountered aspects of general surgery and the important aspects of other surgical specialities. Each case scenario describes an actual patient history and follows in a systematic fashion the processes involved in obtaining a diagnosis to deciding upon the correct plan of management. The questions are accompanied by comprehensive answers which address both the important factors and any contentious issues.

I have used his book which is the best I have ever read so far while preparing for Vivas. I initially rejected by collegues to use this book as I thought it would be little knowledge but infact after reading it I want to read it again and again. It is organzed in Question NAswer format and even one of my consultants who had a look at it ( he is a RCS Edinburgh Examiner) said that this book has atleast all those questions with answer that e normally asks his andidates.
You can always broaden your knowledge by reading from other books but presents it in the most simple format.
Highly Recommended if you want to have organized thoughts in Vivas.
