Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

In this single-cassette audio book Jacqueline Wilson's Cliffhanger is read in unabridged form by Stephen Tomkinson.

Wilson strikes again in her own inimitable style with this funny, touching and at times thought-provoking tale of a little boy facing up to his very worst fears and coming out on top.

When his dad decides to send him on an adventure holiday, poor Tim--who is more suited to armchair pursuits--realises that this could well turn out to be the very worst time of his entire life. Little does he know quite how bad things will get, especially when he is forced to bunk-in with the hideous, arrogant and bullying Giles. But as the holiday progresses he finds himself quite enjoying its challenges. Even abseiling--once he is safely back at the bottom of the cliff--doesn't seem so bad.

This is a heart-warming tale of friendship and bravery that will have young readers giggling and gasping from beginning to end --Susan Harrison --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

This book really is a cliffhanger that hangs you in suspense all the way through. Once you pick it up its unputdownable. I had already read this book as the summer reading task, but I enjoyed it as much as when I read it in the summer. My favourite characters are Tim, Biscuits and Gilles. Tim goes to an adventure holiday because his Dad made him, but Tim and his Mum don't want Tim to go. They all get there and Tim gets picked to go and be in the tigers. They have a game of Triangles and they went abseiling and then a canoe race and finally the crazy bucket race. When I read this book it is still very exiting.

We liked Cliffhanger because it was exciting and we couldn't wait to read what happened next. Tim went on an adventure holiday. He wasn't very good at sport but he found out that he was better than he thought. Tim made friends with a boy called Biscuits. We liked Biscuits because he was funny and always eating. Tim was very scared when he tried to abseil, nevertheless, he had a go with surprising results.

A year 3 literacy group.

I like this book because i thought that it was a attractive cover. I also like this book because after every chapter it ends on a cliffhanger. I think Jacquline Wilson is a very good author. She writes wonderful books aand has a very imaginative mind. Cliffhanger took my mind away into another world. The illustration are also very attractive. Tim is not very good at sports and has been sent on a adventure holiday by his dad. can he and his team the tigers be the champions find out from the award winning authors book CLIFFHANGER!!!!!
