I liked all the stories in this book. First, a fascinating start for stories that turned out not to be only hilarious, but in a curious way, insightful and educative. It comes on the hills of The Usurper and Other Stories, which is another story I enjoyed with similar settings.The prose is smooth flowing, and the plots come with suspense and surprises

I bought this under the impression it was another No 1 Ladies Detective book, however, it is a collection of stories involving women from different countries. Apart from that it was fairly enjoyable for light reading, good for holidays though quite short, I read the whole book in an hour.

Not as Expected
I actually assumed that this was going to be No.1 Ladies short stories, rather than concise versions of work that I had already read, so I was somewhat disappointed.
