5.0 out of 5 stars Great Training Book 3 Sep 2009
Format:Hardcover
This book is written well with clear instructions. It explains how dogs need to fill their day so they have a purpose in life and the training is for useful things that could help a less than able person rather than silly tricks.

2.0 out of 5 stars clever dog 7 April 2012
By mavvy
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
this book is very basic and does not really enter into the psychology of the dogs, which is what I was really looking for. It is good on a practical level, and does offer some ways to teach your dog tricks, but does not explain 'why' dogs behave the way they do at times! For me, the owner of a small terier who is overly agressive with other dogs, it was not really helpful. If I were purely looking to teach my dog a few party tricks, it would have been great. I was quite disappointed with the book as it is really short, basic and has not really helped me deal with the behaviour issue!!
