Product Description

Product Description

Bredda Croaky is a special bullfrog, whose skin glows with beautiful colours. But he is a real nuisance - he croaks all day long! Anansi the spider grows tired of this noise, and devises an ingenious plan to silence the boastful bullfrog. 'H' Patten's original Caribbean tale embraces Anansi storytelling tradition, as Clever Anansi teaches Bredda Croaky a lesson.

About the Author

'H' Patten was brought up in Birmingham in a close-knit Jamaican community. A founding member of Dance de L'Afrique, he has performed and choreographed in many leading dance companies in Britain, Africa and the Caribbean. Now a professional storyteller, he brings his stories to life, acting them out in traditional African dress. He lives in London.

John Clementson studied at Carlisle College of Art and Wolverhampton Polytechnic before starting his career as a painter. He has received commissions from companies as diverse as Sony, British Airways, Decca, Coca-Cola, London Transport and Citroen.

Anasi Story Book 30 Oct 2011

I have really enjoyed reading this book to my children, the authentic patios dialogue gives it a very genuine feel, as you can read aloud in patios in the knowledge that this version is true to the legend of Anansi . Shall enjoy returning to it from time to time.My 7 yr old son enjoyed taking it to school to share with friends. The illustrations are lovely too.
