"Book I Cleopatra to Christ" - Why was the birth of a poor 'carpenter' in the first century AD visited by the Persian Magi: the Parthian king-makers? "Book II Scota, Egyptian Queen of the Scots" - The legends of Ireland and Scotland tell a fantastic tale of an Egyptian queen and her Greek husband, who were exiled from Egypt at some point during the second millennium BC. Chased from their homelands, they took to the sea and settled in Spain and then Ireland. It is said that it was from this Queen Scota and King Gaythelos that the modern titles for the Scottish and Gaelic people were derived. All of these early Celtic myths were finally set down in a fourteenth century book called Scotichronicon, the title page of which appears on the cover of this book. But what are we to make of this ancient story - is it based more upon fact or fiction? Historians have, as one might expect, taken the story to be complete fiction; but there are many elements to this hoary old tale that demonstrate that the authors of Scotichronicon knew a great deal about the ancient history and language of Egypt. Ralph Ellis has taken a lateral look at this mythology, and found many links and associations that lead to one inescapable conclusion - that the extraordinary tale of Queen Scota and King Gaythelos is probably true.

This is great value, you get 2 books in one.
The books themselves are amazing and really challenge your perceptions of orthodox history.
I found the presentation excellent and couldn't put the book down as it was so addictive, I especially liked the way the author showed the hieroglyphs/ancient greek letters when necessary to make his point.

I have not read the whole book yet, but so far it is a fasinating theory, and from what I already know about the subject, near enough the true story of Scota. I am looking forward to the rest of the story by Mr Ellis, also the story of Cleopatria to Christ, the re-search that man must have done is astounding. Alexander. G. Heggie

In Cleopatra to Christ Ralph reveals the tue ancestry of Jesus, which is actually more surprising than the cover and title suggest. These are no mere shots in the dark as again, evidence and translation being the allies of Ralph, he proves his point again and again.
Scota is slightly lacking in evidence compared to his other works, however make no mistake, there's still plenty of proof. This is probably only down to the lack of pict presense in Ireland, and it explains much about Irish/Welsh/Scottish culture that you never would have guessed.

Hmmmmmmmm.......
Where as the first part of this book just seems like bizarre nonsense badly argued, the second half about Scota coming to Britain seems to be a theory totally lifted from Lorraine... Read more
