I've never been able to make a decent poached egg. I'm a great cook but poached eggs were always a puzzle. I've tried all the methods and I just can't do it! So..... I thought I'd get a poaching pan. Read the reviews on here (for the 4 egg version) and didn't hold out too much I'd be successful but I'll try anything. The reason this product doesn't get a 5-star rating for me is because it didn't come with any 'how to cook your egg' instructions. Just a pan care leaflet.
So having read all the reviews on here about sticking eggs, I decided to use common sense and add just a very tiny amount of Rice Bran Oil to each pod before adding the egg. Once the eggs were cooked, I very gently loosend the edges of each egg - a good move because they then slipped out easily.
At last, perfect poached eggs. I'm really pleased!!

Great buy, this replaced a much loved 50 year old aluminium poacher, redundant because of an induction hob!! The new one is superb, works well on the hob, and the non-stick cups do just what they say. Also now with 6 rather than 4 we can all sit down and eat together :-))

This is an excellent addition to the kitchen when you have two or more people wanting poached eggs - always found with my husband and dauughter I had to cook my eggs after theirs with the 4 egg poacher - this way we all eat together!

Great Product
No fuss, no mess. All very easy. 6 large eggs cooked perfectly in 4 minutes. Boil water first before you put the eggs in. Definately grease the cups or they will stick. Read more
