I decided to try coconut oil after reading all about its superfood status and the first thing I cooked was a Chinese stir fry king prawn dish. I have to say, it really does taste very similar to butter when it's cooking and the flavour is so subtle yet buttery, gorgeous. I then used it in my coffee, with my hand whisk it was lovely and made coffee creamy. Use it basically in place of the oil you cook with or the spread on your toast.
I also used it by putting a teaspoon of it into my cereal and just flattened it with the back of the spoon to mix it with the milk, and it was very palatable and interesting hint in the cereal.
I am now looking at conditioning my hair with some of it heated up and the range of uses seems to be endless. I truly feel more energised and hope it helps my body and nourishes me internally and externally.
A well kept secret , I have talked my brother and mum into getting some for themselves , I am surprised that so many people I know stick to tried and trusted olive oil etc, and don't contemplate using something different for health benefit.
