We have two large Bengals and, not to put too fine a point on it, they could poo for Britain. The worst of it is that they, unlike just about all other 'normal' domestic cats we've owned before, truly create the most terrible sharp pongs that linger. Deeply embarrassing should visitors call around just after they've visited any one of their three litter boxes.
Having tried all manner of wood and clay-based alternatives for a few years now, this product is heads and shoulders above everything we've tried before. I was highly-sceptical that, besides a clumping action, it could do much about the nasty niffs... but it really does work so well and a treat to come home to a more welcome atmosphere.
In desperation we were prepared to pay MUCH more for other more ridiculously expensive products (basing this on you get what you pay for), but the performance of this litter is extremely good value for money and, if anything, any possible improvement in performance from the ludicrously-priced brands could not be justified. My partner and I have stopped looking.
I can't say that I've noticed much of a product fragrance that others have been worried about (perhaps a change in specification?) and it's definitely not simply masking the smell which appears to be held at bay even when the tray is cleared. I could imagine that long-haired cats might occasionally pick up a few bits on their fur as the grains are very fine, but compared to the slugs, worms, brambles, bugs, and leaf-litter our former Persians used to drag in and drop around the house, owners of these breeds will doubtless be used to a little occasional debris for adventurous long-haired cats.
In summary... It's every bit good as other reviewers attest - look no further !
