Foreigner are a class act, Mick Jones is an excellent musician and when Lou Gramm was replaced by Kelly Hansen it was the perfect choice.Although Lou Gramm had excellent vocals and made a lot of the Foreigner songs his own then so does Kelly Hansen whose voice is a carbon copy of Lou Gramm's. with the new material.
What i absolutely do not like is Mick Jones releasing this kind of Album where it is insulting to Lou Gramm in having all the Classics put on an album reworked just for profit.
Kelly Hansen is like Lou Gramm and is excellent on the new material and i cannot fault him in anyway and Foreigner were getting a lot better and moving forward with this exciting new front man who has given them a new zest of life, just listen to Kelly Hansen on Rockin at the Ryman which is first class and carries off the classics live absolutely brilliantly
I do not like the idea of Lou Gramm being totally erased from anything to do with Foreigner by bringing out this kind of reworked album and i also think Kelly Hansen should have pulled Mick Jones aside and said look "i will do the classics live but the originals are Lou Gramm's and should remain that way".
Kelly never hit major fame with any of his previous bands but should not forget that all the Classics belonged to Foreigner with Lou Gramm and had all the Hits, The new Foreigner going forward belongs to Kelly Hansen and need a major hit.
