I can't recommend this dvd to anyone for any reason.
I bought the dvd Classic Motorcycles (presented by Gerry Burr) under the impression it would have information on the subject of purchasing and maintaining a classic motorcycle. The content of this "documentary" is a brief description of what the camera sees at a small classic motorcycle meet punctuated with a few sparse comments about the British motorbike industry; the wrap-up takes place at a motorcycle parts jumble with more haphazard commentary.
Sadly, I'll go a bit further and say that in my opinion this video has almost no redeeming qualities to anyone for any purpose. I was a bit embarrassed (for the makers of the video - it is that bad) to realize the video really seems nothing more than a camera following around an old gentleman peppering factoids about classic bikes as the sparse attendees and bikes at a few classic bike meets are filmed.
Pros:
-some (limited) footage of classic bikes
Cons:
-amateurish production quality
-entirely lacks useful information to even the rank beginner interested in the classic motorcycle hobby, much less a more informed person
-historical facts are presented without clear organization
