Format:Paperback
Carefully labelled and sketched diagrams of existing metalwork from around the UK. With details drawn to scale, and layed out in as space efficient a manner as possible. Classic designs from the small pieces such as hinges and door handles, to complex railings and gates. With a breakdown of the components, giving you both the scale, and sections used. Well worth adding to your collection.

Fantastic book of ideas for the blacksmith 15 Aug 2011
By Gary Standke - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a book of line drawings of the details of ironwork from England in the 17th to 18th century. The book is for the professional or very advanced amateur blacksmith. Sections include hinges, grilles, railings, latches, handles, escutcheons, gates, railings, ornaments and leaf work.

On each page is a small drawing of the original item. Then a dozen drawings of the elements of the hinge, gate, etc. drawn to dimension and in the detail a smith would need to recreate it.
Not a Dover classic 20 Feb 2011
By David Greene - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This 40 paqe Dover book is a cacophony of images drawn across the page. While there are one or two interesting shapes within the book. The messy configuration and crowded pages don't do them justice. Is it worth orth the $7.95?...just barely.

If you are a beginner, leave it as this is for the pros.
