5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to follow 14 April 2011
Format:Hardcover
When I received this book I was just starting to experiment with cooking Indian food instead of getting takeaways. It has a lovely selection of recipies to choose between to make and each have a set of simple steps to follow which makes the dishes much less intimidating to attempt than in some other books I have tried recently.

The introduction is well written and the quick help guide that follows over the next 4 pages has some useful hints and tips. Most of the recipies are acompanied by a photo showing you what your dish should/might look like which makes it easier to decide what to cook when you go away from the dishes that are easily recogniseable from most UK takeaway menu's.

I found this to be a great help with learning how to cook some of our favourite meals and trying some of the new dishes I'd not heard of before was a fun and tasty experience.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great little book 24 Feb 2012
Format:Hardcover
A good selection of well presented recipes using easliy obtained ingredients. I'd recommend the "Fish Curry Cooked in Coconut" and the "Bengali Fish Curry". I was left a little confused though by the "Kashmiri Chicken Curry" on page 45, mainly because it's made with lamb!
