Product Description

Triple-bill of classic horror films. Cult underground horror maestro Roger Corman directs 'Little Shop of Horrors' (1960), about downtrodden flower shop worker Seymour Krelboin (Jonathan Haze) who inadvertantly invents a new species of ravenous, man-eating plant. Forced to do its bidding, Krelboin soon turns to murder to keep it fed. 'The Bat' (1959) is set in a rambling, sinister mansion owned by a reclusive mystery novelist (Agnes Moorehead), where a deranged killer stalks the corridors, working his way through the guests. 'Bride of the Monster' (1955) is one of director Ed Wood's collaborations with Bela Lugosi, where Lugosi plays Eric Vornoff, a deranged scientist intent on creating his own army of atomic-powered supermen. When investigative reporter Janet Lawson (Loretta King) stumbles across Vornoff's laboratory, Vornoff's monstrous assistant Lobo (Tor Johnson) falls in love with her and refuses to let Vornoff use her in his experiments. In the chaotic stand-off Vornoff is irradiated by his own machines, eventually being destroyed by the gigantic octopus he used to menace his victims.

Rather dated version but never the less quite an enjoyable.Bela Lugosi is his usual eerie self and contributes to a good DVD.

3.0 out of 5 stars 2 out of 3 ain't bad 4 April 2014
Little Shop of Horrors was entertaining, though has an 'overexposed' look making it look super bright most of the time. Jack Nicholson is in it for about 3 minutes, as a VERY odd man at the dentist. You have to really listen to the dialogue - it is full of malapropisms and is funny, not even that dated.

The Bat was a pretty good Vincent Price film - no real surprises, but well done for its type.

Bride of the Monster looked so dull I did not last longer than 10 minutes - the 'monster' is an octopus - I don't know how an octopus goes about getting a 'bride' but I wish them every happiness!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but dvd looks abit amaturish 14 July 2013

Very good, but the dvd text, and overall design, looked too homemade, and so did some of the cover, but it was very good, otherwise. Have yet to see the dvd itself.

Very very, poor quality for first film barely watchable, as an update have now watched the second two films the whole way through and they are much better quality than the first was. You can't really go wrong at this price buying used. Fast delivery in good condition.
