If you enjoy vintage horror movies, there's a fair chance of finding something here to entertain you.
The first movie, HORROR HOTEL was made in 1960, and tells the story of a young college student, Nan Barlow, (Venetia Stevenson) who as part of her work on a paper on witchcraft is sent to do some research while staying at the Ravens Inn in New England on the recommendation of her teacher, Professor Alan Driscol (Christopher Lee).
On arrival at the Inn, she discovers that the Landlady is an undead witch, as are all the other boarders, and with Candalmas Eve looming, Nan is intended to be the next human sacrifice. The movie is 76 minutes long.
Next we have the only colour movie of the collection, THE TERROR, was made in 1963, and was directed by Roger Corman, and stars Jack Nicholson as an Officer returning from the Napoleonic wars.
After pursuing a strange woman to the castle of an old Baron (Boris Karloff) the officer eventually discovers that the woman is being used by an old witch, who is intent on driving the Baron to suicide. the movie is 81 minutes long.
The final movie is THE CORPSE VANISHES, which was made in 1942, and will probably be a treat for Bela Lugosi fans.
Here, he plays a mad scientist, and with the assistance of two henchmen of varying sizes, kills and steals the bodies of young virgin brides at the alter, the reason? - to extract gland fluid from the bodies to use on his ancient wife to keep her young. The movie is 63 minutes long.
The only drawback for me is the fact that the picture quality on all 3 movies is not good, but still acceptable.
No extras or subtitles.
