The 39 Steps stars Robert Donat as the famous "wrong man" indentity which Hitch used in so many of his films. Nice twist at the end of this one, nicely presented. What are The 39 Steps? Stay tuned, all is revealed....
The Lady Vanishes is about a lady on a train who vanishes. A woman that was friends with her and who sat next to her on the train and wakes up to find the lady is no longer there. She asks the people sat next to her and they claim she was never there. She asks stewards who served them tea, and they claim she was never there. A wonderful film set in Bandrika.
Secret Agent is about an English spy who is sent to Switzerland to assassinate an enemy agent. At the same time he gets involved with a lady.
All three films feature the use of a train in some way or another.
The three films come as seperate DVD's in their own packaging and are enclosed in a box, that shows each of the films on the packaging, as well as a blurb about them. At the price of £11.97, this purchase marks great value for money, and is a great introduction to Hitchcock before he went to Hollywood and made his "big" films.
