We bought this because our dog's nails were quite long. They are easy to use and didnt leave any brittle edges. My husband works at a dog breeding kennels and they use the same product there and recommended them to us.

All my dogs have thick black nails. This is strong enough to do the job quickly without stressing them out too much.

Our dogs really didn't like their nails being cut with the usual type of nail clippers but after getting used to these really didn't mind the job being done. I also felt much more confident that I wasn't going to cut the quick of the nail.
