I wanted something different for my sitting room and this is - very elegant, buttons very easy to use. Much nicer than the retro telephone we had. Good buy.

In my opinion the phone is very well made and highly detailed for the price. The casing is all metal and it has the appearance of heavy tooling. The handset has a nice heavy feel to it and the angled mouthpiece is a nice authentic touch. The phone also works really well. It has a nice clear ring tone and the sound transmission is excellent. I really like it and would recommend it if you want a classy-looking (in my opinion) ornamental phone that also works really well. My advice is to check prices before you buy. I found a considerable variation in price. At the time of writing (19 June 2013) the Amazon-listed 'Big Box Co' were offering the best price.

LOVE, love, love this! It's a real feature in the room and makes a functional object lovely to have around. I'm fed up of the black or silver plastic, digital, cordless phones, with failing batteries and poor reception. I've placed this near an armchair, so can now have conversations sitting comfortable and concentrating on what the other person is saying rather than doing other things at the same time - novel but effective! We have a v old house, and although isn't quite the right era, it still looks great. The only slight negative is having to ensure the mouthpiece is by your mouth, or you can't be heard - sounds commonsense but surprising how you get into habit of moving receiver around when you're used to mobiles/ cordless sets! Minor niggle though. Definitely money well spent and this seller had the cheapest price. Also ordered it on a sunday night and received the phone on Monday - brilliant service!

I am very happy that I bought this phone. It is one of the most elegant and nicest looking phones I've seen, and I really like the sound it makes when it rings. Five stars from me!

It is a great telephone, love its exterior and ringing tone; however, it is the poor quality of dial the lets it down...you have to press certain numbers several times for it to register.

This is a lovely looking phone but you have to apply a great deal of pressure on the push buttons when dialling (even then sometimes the digit does not activate and you have to redial). I will probably replace mine at some time in the near future for a more user-friendly vintage phone

Had been looking for something different for the conservatory for a while and decided to purchase the phone for its appearance

and all the positive reviews it has. Was certainly not disappointed and everyone who has seen it asks where i purchased it.

The phone itself is well made and the meaty weight of the handset is just fantastic, the ringtone is brilliant also, it takes you back

in time, like watching an old black and white movie. Although it has a dial you only need to push the numbers to operate it. You

also need to remember to speak directly into the mouthpiece unlike the modern phones we have now. There is also a small

pull out drawer at the bottom where you could keep notes and a pencil. All in all a fantastic product.
